3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Ridgecrest Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the reference nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. It may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.
4. Links to Outside Sites
Government portals and third-party services, including the Kern Assessor Property Search, Kern eCourt, and Ridgecrest public archive, operate under their own terms and privacy rules. Ridgecrest Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, or data handling.
5. No Warranties
The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties. No promise is made that a page or linked portal is accurate, complete, current, available, or capable of returning a correct result.

7. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify the operators against a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from misuse of the reference or a breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and short attributed quotations are welcome. Republishing full pages or copying content systematically is not permitted.

10. Cutting Off Access
Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, with or without advance notice.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by California law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record access questions are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000–7931.000. That statute applies to identifiable existing records held by public agencies; it does not make this private reference the custodian of a Ridgecrest or Kern County record.
